Soowan Bang is a Korean American filmmaker whose storytelling ethos is encapsulated in the motto “Take your broken heart, make it into art" by Carrie Fisher. With a penchant for character-driven narratives, She transforms personal experiences into compelling cinematic journeys, delves into the human condition, crafting stories that resonate deeply with audiences, inviting them to connect with the raw emotions and resilience portrayed on screen.

Her recent work, <Bad Eggs> has been nominated for Best International Short Film category in Swedish International Film Festival and officially selected to screen in OSCAR/BAFTA Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival. It is currently on a festival run.

Soowan received a B.A. in Screenwriting and Animation minor at Loyola Marymount University in 2021. She is a freelance writer, director, and AD based in Los Angeles.
